SINGAPORE – Beginning today, fans of MediaCorp’s Indian radio station Oli 96.8FM can look forward to new programming content and a brand new logo for the radio station.

The new and upgraded Oli, which was launched in 1936, will include more streamlined programming for both Tamil and non-Tamil listeners. Programming content will also be made more engaging, with more discussion topics that matter to Singaporeans.

With the exception of the morning show, Asathal Kaalai with Asathal Boyz, which will remain at the same time belt from 6am to 10am with deejays Anand and Jaynesh, Oli 96.8FM will see a brand-new lineup of programmes such as DJ Vimala sharing the latest on lifestyle, beauty and the juicy news from Bollywood and Kollywood on her show, Attakasam with Vimala, from 10am to 2pm.

“We are excited with the revamp of Oli’s programming and are confident that the new initiatives will propel the station to greater heights,” said Dr Chitra Rajaram, senior vice president of Indian Broadcast Division, Channels 5 and okto. “The new initiatives were put in place after listening to valued feedback from our ardent listeners. In short, the mantra will be ‘Less Talk, More Music’.”
