Ride Uber to earn points for your next hotel stay

SINGAPORE — Starwood Hotels and Resorts and the ride-sharing company, Uber, have tied up to ensure members of Starwood’s loyalty programme will get to their destinations faster. Starwood Preferred Guests (SPG) can now accumulate 1 Starwood point for every US$1 (SS$1.36) spent with the Uber app. If your ride is taken during your stay at a Starwood Hotel, such as the W or Westin, you can earn between two and four points per US$1 spent, depending on your loyalty account status.

“This new partnership with Uber accelerates our SPG members’ drive to rewards and it is just one more way that Starwood is combining high-tech and high-touch to transform their travel experiences,” said Adam Aron, CEO, Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

This is a global partnership that is available in every market where Uber operates, including Singapore, United States and China. More info on this can be found on www.spg.com/uberterms.
