SINGAPORE  — Testing operations at Lengkok Bahru have uncovered two positive cases of Covid-19 infection, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Saturday (July 3).

The ministry had conducted mandatory testing of residents and workers of shops at Blocks 55, 56 and 57 Lengkok Bahru on Monday and Tuesday after Covid-19 viral fragments were detected in wastewater samples collected from the three blocks.

Visitors and those who had interacted with residents and owners and staff members of shops at the three blocks between June 12 and 26 were also invited to come forward for voluntary testing. 

In all, 1,792 individuals were tested in the operation, MOH said, of whom two tested positive.

UPDATE ON 103 HENDERSON CRESCENT TESTING

Meanwhile, MOH said a similar testing operation at Blk 103 Henderson Crescent had found no new cases of Covid-19 infection.

MOH conducted mandatory testing for all residents of the block on Monday and Tuesday after four people infected with the coronavirus had been detected in three households there.

MOH also conducted voluntary testing for visitors and those who had interacted with residents of the block between June 7 and 26.

In all, 510 residents and visitors were tested and all were found to be negative for Covid-19 infection.
