2.5m S'poreans to get up to S$800 each in Dec as part of S$1.1b support package to help with rising living costs

To help families cope with rising living costs, the Ministry of Finance announced a S$1.1 billion support package
One of the measures is an additional cash payment of up to S$200 in December 2023, on top of the existing Assurance Package cash component to be disbursed this year for eligible Singaporeans
Eligible households will also receive a total of S$500 in CDC vouchers with the additional package from January 2024, up from the S$300 announced earlier
There is no drawdown on past reserves to fund these additional measures
