36-year-old man arrested in probe related to former manager of Joseph Schooling’s swim school

SINGAPORE — The police have arrested a 36-year-old man in relation to the case involving the former manager of Joseph Schooling’s swimming school who has been accused of cheating.

SINGAPORE — The police have arrested a 36-year-old man in relation to the case involving the former manager of Joseph Schooling’s swimming school who has been accused of cheating.

On Wednesday (July 24), Swim Schooling, the school that the Olympic champion had set up last June, said on Facebook that it had terminated the employment of Mr Mohamed Hafidz Ja’afar.

This came amid allegations that he had taken money from several people, purportedly to sell them tickets to the recent football match between Manchester United and Inter Milan in Singapore, but never delivered them

On Thursday, police said a report had been lodged and that they were investigating.

In an update on Saturday, the police said they had arrested a 36-year-old man on Friday in relation to the case and that investigations were ongoing.
