47-year-old SAF regular found dead at Gombak multi-storey car park
SINGAPORE — A 47-year-old Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular serviceman was found hanging from a rope at the rooftop of a multi-storey car park in Gombak on Monday (Aug 23), the Ministry of Defence (Mindef) said.

SINGAPORE — A 47-year-old Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular serviceman was found hanging from a rope at the rooftop of a multi-storey car park in Gombak on Monday (Aug 23), the Ministry of Defence (Mindef) said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at about 1.40pm.
Mindef said in a statement that based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play.
“They have classified the case as unnatural death and investigations are ongoing,” said Mindef.
“(Mindef) and the SAF extend our deepest condolences to the family of the late serviceman, and are assisting the family in their time of grief.”
