SINGAPORE — To celebrate Singaporeans’ can-do attitude and caring spirit, the National Day Parade (NDP) Executive Committee has introduced a list of activities that Singaporeans of all ages can participate in before the NDP.

Some activities include flying the Singapore flag on their vehicles, donating to worthwhile causes through EZ-Link machines and sharing photos and videos of what “Home” means to them on Instagram.

“We hope to see Singaporeans from all walks of life join in the initiatives that are open to everyone. Our aim is to create as many opportunities as possible for all Singaporeans to actively participate so that everyone has a stake in our National Day celebrations,” said Colonel (NS) William Chua, Chairman of the Communication and Engagement Committee.

Today, 18 Junior Red Lions had a go at the wind tunnel at iFly Singapore — where they experienced airspeeds of up to 300 kilometres per hour — with nine members of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Red Lions parachute team.

For the first time, Junior Red Lions Lions — comprising nine Primary 4 and nine Primary 5 students selected from a contest which started on April 10 — will be welcoming the Red Lions as they land on the floating platform at the parade.

More details about the NDP, such as the collection dates of flags and badges, will be up on www.ndp.org.sg by the first week of July.
