COE premiums rise for most categories in latest bidding exercise

SINGAPORE — Premiums for Certificates of Entitlement rose across the board for all vehicles, except for motorcycles at the close of the second bidding exercise between November and January next year.
Small cars (up to 1,600cc and 97kW) premiums rose 4.61 per cent, from S$64,900 to S$67,889. For large cars (above 1,600cc and 97kW), premiums closed at S$72,890, up from S$70,890 two weeks ago.
The premiums for commercial vehicles, such as goods vehicles and buses, increased yet again, from S$63,701 to S$65,001. The open category COEs, which are largely used for big cars, went up from S$71,300 to S$73,900.
Motorcycles premiums fell from S$4,290 in the previous bidding exercise to S$4,189 — down by 2.35 per cent.
