Man to be charged in court over allegedly taking upskirt videos of women at Bukit Panjang Plaza, Hillion Mall

SINGAPORE — A 32-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in taking a number of upskirting videos, and will be charged with voyeurism offences in court on Tuesday (Oct 13), police said on Monday.

SINGAPORE — A 32-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in taking a number of upskirting videos, and will be charged with voyeurism offences in court on Tuesday (Oct 13), police said on Monday.

The police said they received separate reports on Oct 3 and Oct 6 about a man who had allegedly taken upskirt videos of female victims at Bukit Panjang Plaza and Hillion Mall in Bukit Panjang.

Through investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division identified the man and arrested him on Monday.

One mobile phone believed to have been used by the man to take the upskirt videos was seized, the statement said.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is suspected to be involved in other similar cases of voyeurism reported islandwide.

Those found guilty of voyeurism face up to two years' jail, a fine, caning, or any combination of the three punishments.
