NDP rehearsals may be scaled back due to haze

SINGAPORE — Rehearsals for this year’s National Day Parade (NDP) may have to be scaled down this year if the haze persists, organisers said today. Colonel Dinesh Vasu Dash, Chairman of the upcoming parade’s Dynamic Defence Display (D3), also said that “mitigating measures” may have to be introduced, if necessary. Col Dinesh was speaking at a media event to showcase the highlights of this year’s D3 and Parade and Ceremony (P&C) sections. He also noting that internal discussions have already started within the organising committee to decide what should be done if the poor air quality persists.
