Couple to be charged with murder after their toddler’s remains were found in flat

SINGAPORE — The parents of a two-and-a-half-year-old female toddler will be charged with murder on Tuesday (Sept 17), after her remains were found in a flat last week.

The Singapore Police Force received a call for assistance at Block 52 Chin Swee Road on Sept 10, 2019, at about 8.30pm. Upon arrival, police found human remains inside the HDB unit.

SINGAPORE — The parents of a two-and-a-half-year-old female toddler will be charged with murder on Tuesday (Sept 17), after her remains were found in a flat last week.

The police said that they received a call for assistance on Sept 10 at about 8.30pm and later found human remains inside a flat at Block 52 Chin Swee Road.

They added that the 31-year-old man and the 30-year-old woman are the biological parents of the deceased, and they are suspected to have killed her.

The suspects have been remanded since June last year for other unrelated offences. They are believed to have murdered the victim before their remand, the police said.

Investigations are ongoing.
