SINGAPORE — While Samsung is still in talks with telcos to come up with a solution for customers still holding on to their Galaxy Note7 phones, affected users can borrow a replacement phone from the smartphone maker in the meantime.
A Samsung spokesman in Singapore said on Tuesday (Oct 11) that “details of the remedy will be shared very soon”.
In the meantime, Note7 customers who require a device on loan can visit the Samsung Customer Service Centre at Westgate mall, said the spokesman. However, it is subject to stock availability.
“Courtesy devices will be provided to Galaxy Note7 customers as long as these are available, and Galaxy Note7 customers may hold on to the courtesy device until they take up our resolution for the Galaxy Note7 issue.”
Meanwhile, all three telcos here say they are waiting for more information from Samsung on the next steps.
“We are seeking Samsung’s advice and will update our customers soon,” said a Singtel spokesman.
