Sembawang launches Memory Project driven by youth
SINGAPORE — To encourage youth to understand and appreciate life in the past, the grassroots leaders of Sembawang Group Representation Constituency today (June 30) launched the Sembawang GRC Memory Project to source and collate memorable stories of kampong life from its residents.

SINGAPORE — To encourage youth to understand and appreciate life in the past, the grassroots leaders of Sembawang Group Representation Constituency today (June 30) launched the Sembawang GRC Memory Project to source and collate memorable stories of kampong life from its residents.
The stories, which will be compiled in a book titled Chronicles of Remembrance, will be written by 80 polytechnic students and 40 youth volunteers from the GRC’s youth executive committee.
The students will interview 100 residents, who will share stories, pictures and artefacts of their past.
The project was launched today by guest-of-honour National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan, who is also advisor to Sembawang Grassroots Organisations. WOO SIAN BOON
