SINGAPORE — A 39-year-old woman was charged with murder from a hospital bed on Friday (July 16), after an alleged dispute the previous day that led to the death of a man in Ang Mo Kio.

SINGAPORE — A 39-year-old woman was charged with murder from a hospital bed on Friday (July 16), after an alleged dispute the previous day that led to the death of a man in Ang Mo Kio.
Nguyen Ngoc Giau, 39, a Vietnamese, had the murder charge read to her while she was still hospitalised for her injuries.
The victim was Choy Wang Keung, 52.
Court documents showed that the incident happened on the fifth storey of Block 562 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 at 12.55am on Thursday.
The police said earlier that they were alerted to a dispute at a housing unit.
Early investigations showed that the duo knew each other.
They were found outside the unit with multiple wounds and were conscious when taken to hospital.
Choy died from his injuries in hospital.
If convicted of murder, Nguyen could face the death penalty.
The case will be heard in court again on Aug 6.
