Toggle to partner Eleven Sports Network for EPL
SINGAPORE — English football fans will soon be able to watch selected Premier League games via Mediacorp’s over-the-top service Toggle, after it officially inked a multi-year deal with Eleven Sports Network (ESN) on Saturday.
SINGAPORE — English football fans will soon be able to watch selected Premier League games via Mediacorp’s over-the-top service Toggle, after it officially inked a multi-year deal with Eleven Sports Network (ESN) on Saturday.
As part of the partnership, three live matches and three delayed matches will be made available for viewing each match week. This will include eight premium clashes featuring the most popular English clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.
Other football-related content that will also be made available on Toggle which include matches from the Italian Serie A, the English FA Cup, and the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
Apart from football matches however, Toggle will also screen a wide range of other sports content available on ESN such as the Badminton Asia Championships, the ATP250 tennis events and the ITTF World Tour.
“We are delighted to have sealed this partnership with Mediacorp to bring even more of our world-class sports content to Toggle viewers,” said ESN Asia managing director Joyee Biswas. “We are always looking to expand Eleven’s reach in Singapore and Asia to ensure our premium sports action is available to as many sports fans as possible.”
Added Mediacorp head of connected media, Anil Nihalani: “Our goal is to become the home of compulsory viewing for fans of international football and other exciting sports.”
The live Premier League matches on Toggle can be accessed on the Eleven Plus channel, which will be available in August. Two round-the-clock sports channels, Eleven and Eleven Sports, will feature the other sports content from July 1.
Viewers will also have the benefit of subscribing directly to Toggle’s sports content without having to subscribe to other content packages. In addition, those who sign up for the new channels on a one-year contract during the current Uefa Euro 2016 period (until July 11) will receive free subscription to all remaining matches in the knock-out stages, and a one-month subscription waiver of the three new channels.
