Schooling qualifies for 100m freestyle semi-finals at Rio with national record

RIO DE JANEIRO — Singapore swimmer Joseph Schooling qualifies for the Olympic Men's 100m freestyle s-finals after clocking a new national record 48.27s in his heats.

RIO DE JANEIRO — Singapore swimmer Joseph Schooling qualifies for the Olympic Men's 100m freestyle s-finals after clocking a new national record 48.27s in his heats.

The Singaporean finished second in Heat 6 after smashing his own personal best and national record of 48.58s clocked at the SEA Games last year.

Schooling will be racing for a spot in the 100m freestyle final on Wednesday (Aug 10) at 9am, Singapore time.
