SINGAPORE — Thrower Zhang Guirong has won Singapore’s second gold in athletics at the SEA Games.

SINGAPORE — Thrower Zhang Guirong has won Singapore’s second gold in athletics at the SEA Games.

The 37-year-old heaved a distance of 14.60m in the women's shot put to successfully defend her gold from the 2013 Games.

Thai throwers Sawitri Thongchao and Areerat Intadis claimed the silver and bronze in 13.62m and 13.31m respectively.

Singapore's Hannah Lee was fourth with her best distance of 12.56m.
