S’pore thump Canada in Nations Cup

SINGAPORE — The Republic’s netballers kept alive their hopes of winning a medal at the Mission Foods Netball Nations Cup as they recorded a resounding 62-26 victory over Canada at the OCBC Arena yesterday.

SINGAPORE — The Republic’s netballers kept alive their hopes of winning a medal at the Mission Foods Netball Nations Cup as they recorded a resounding 62-26 victory over Canada at the OCBC Arena yesterday.

Having suffered a disappointing defeat to Botswana on Monday, Singapore bounced back in style against their Canadian opponents to record their second win of the tournament.

Singapore will next take on Papua New Guinea tomorrow where a victory would see them return to contention for a gold medal playoff. They will then face the thus-far unbeaten Zambia in their final group game on Friday. NOAH TAN
