SINGAPORE — Sony officially launched the PlayStation 4, their next-generation video game console, in Singapore today (Dec 19).

Sony declined to reveal Singapore sales numbers, but said the pre-order quota was fully filled.

The first person in line, advertising executive Aaron Tan, started queuing at 5am this morning. The 38-year-old, who has owned every Sony console since the PlayStation 1, was not the first to arrive but was allowed to proceed to the front of the queue by media-shy gamers who only wanted the 10-year PlayStation Plus membership.

The first two in line get the PlayStation Vita TV and a 10 year PlayStation Plus membership in addition to the console. The next 30 in line will get the PlayStation Vita TV and the 30 after them will receive the 10 year PlayStation Plus membership.
