Which PS4 games should you buy?
SINGAPORE — Nineteen games were launched at the same time as the PlayStation 4, Sony’s next-generation video game console, but that has not stopped critics from moaning about the lack of exclusive titles. TODAY got our hands on a few of these launch titles, and found out that there still are good games for every type of gamer out there.

FOR THE ACTION FANS
Killzone: Shadow Fall:
This PS4 exclusive is easily the most impressive title in the Killzone series. The enhanced graphics and improved plot make this one of the most engaging first-person-shooters for the PS4. The multiplayer experience is also smooth, making this a must-have for those looking for a new kind of shooter.
Battlefield 4:
Powered by the Frostbite 3 game engine, Battlefield 4 makes combat look beautiful as everything from collapsing buildings to exploding vehicles looks extremely realistic. The game’s single-player campaign leaves much to be desired, but the multi-player mode is reason enough to purchase this title.
Call of Duty: Ghosts:
Activision’s top-selling title looks better than ever on the PS4. Gameplay wise, the PS4 version is identical to the current-generation version but the boost in graphics makes the combat a lot more enjoyable. The new Dualshock 4 controller also makes it much easier to gun down enemies.
FOR THE SPORTS FANS
FIFA 14:
The next-gen version of the world’s most popular football game features everything we love about the older version — including detailed animations and exciting gameplay — while giving you greater control over the players. Loading times are also significantly faster on the next-generation console, making online play a real joy.
NBA 2K14
Player animations and game mechanics in NBA2K14 – already an excellent game on the PS3 – has been improved several fold, making everything from slam dunks, the courts to the cheerleaders incredibly detailed and realistic. If I were more skillful in playing the game, it would have resembled a real-life NBA match.
FOR THE RACING FANS
Need for Speed: Rivals:
Rivals has the privilege of being the only racing title to be available at the PS4 launch and delivers gorgeous environments and beautifully rendered cars thanks to its Frostbite 3 engine. The racing, which allows you perform crazy stunts at high-speed — is also fun and guaranteed to entertain you for hours.
