While young artists in Singapore continue to face hurdles in pursuing a full-time art career, improvements to the local arts scene in the last ten years have created more opportunities for them to follow their passions. The last decade has seen a bigger push by the government to increase arts engagement among Singaporeans. This, coupled with the advent of technology, the rise of the gig-economy and a more supportive attitude towards arts, has created more favourable conditions for young artists to sustain themselves financially.
