Despite the postponement of the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-speed Rail (HSR) project, Malaysians generally remain optimistic. They have accepted the government's reasons for the deferment and hope the project will spur development and connectivity when it is completed. But others, especially those in the smaller towns, lament the missed opportunities.
