Once a week, Scouts from Raffles Institution and Crest Secondary School are paired together as part of a joint collaboration. The initiative started in 2013, in line with calls to prevent the top schools from being “closed circles”, and to ensure that pupils get the chance to mix around with people of different backgrounds. The JC2 (Year 6) Scouts from RI will plan and conduct activities, ranging from teaching Crest students how to tie knots, build catapults, do first-aid and read maps.
