Sri Thendayuthapani temple has celebrated Thaipusam for more than 150 years. The Hindu temple is one of the oldest in Singapore. It was gazetted as a National Monument in 2014. The National Heritage Board’s Our SG Heritage Plan will launch in April. The plan aims to devote more effort to safeguard Singapore’s tangible and intangible heritage such as the Sri Thendayuthapani temple and Thaipusam celebrations.
