Uncle's support spurs blind erhu player to keep giving her best

Stephanie Ow was born blind but that has not stopped her from playing the erhu with the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra. Her uncle, a fan of Cantonese opera, helped to pay for her music lessons but had to give up on his own classes as they could not afford it.
Stephanie received S$3,000 from the TODAY Enable Fund, which helped her to buy a laptop and a new screen reader for school and to foot her transportation costs to and from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, where she is studying music.
