The prince is nearly two-and-a-half years old. He has been raised largely out of the public eye although he has on occasion travelled with his parents.
The nursery says it looks forward to welcoming Prince George.
It says “he will get the same special experience as all of our children”.
While the older generation of British royals did not typically attend nursery, Prince George will be following in the footsteps of his father, who was sent to an exclusive nursery school near Kensington Palace in London by his mother, the late princess Diana, who had herself worked at a nursery before her marriage to Prince Charles.
Montessori schools are known for their liberal approach to education, which can include mixed age classrooms and encouraging children to act independently. AP, AFP
