Selangor, Sabah and Johor top new Covid-19 cases in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR —Malaysia on Wednesday (Dec 2) reported 851 new Covid-19 infections, with Selangor, Sabah and Johor accounting for the bulk of infections.

KUALA LUMPUR —Malaysia on Wednesday (Dec 2) reported 851 new Covid-19 infections, with Selangor, Sabah and Johor accounting for the bulk of infections.

The country’s director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Klang Valley recorded 334 cases with Selangor reporting 249 fresh infections, Sabah (229) and Johor (102).

Wednesday’s tally brings the national caseload to 68,020, with 10,686 still active.

As for recoveries, Dr Noor Hisham said 658 individuals were discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 56,969.

There were also two deaths in Malaysia on Wednesday, bringing the total number of fatalities from the virus to 365. THE MALAYSIAN INSIGHT
